Professional Cleaning for a Healthier Smile
Regular professional cleaning is the foundation of good oral health. At Empire Dental Clinic, our skilled hygienists use the latest techniques including ultrasonic scaling and Airflow technology to thoroughly clean your teeth, remove stubborn stains, and help prevent gum disease.
Our Cleaning Services
Ultrasonic Scaling
Ultrasonic scalers use high-frequency vibrations to break up and remove tartar (calculus) deposits from your teeth. The water spray flushes away debris while keeping your teeth cool and comfortable.
Hand Scaling
For precision work and areas where ultrasonic instruments cannot reach, our hygienists use specialised hand instruments to carefully remove remaining deposits.
Airflow Therapy
Airflow uses a controlled stream of air, water, and fine powder particles to gently blast away stains, plaque, and biofilm. It is excellent for removing stubborn stains from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco.
Polishing
After scaling, we polish your teeth with a special paste to smooth the surfaces and remove any remaining surface stains. This leaves your teeth feeling clean and looking brighter.
Pricing
| Treatment | Price |

What to Expect
Your appointment typically takes 30-45 minutes. We begin by assessing your gum health and checking for any areas of concern. Then we systematically clean all tooth surfaces above and just below the gum line. After scaling, Airflow treatment removes stains, and polishing leaves your teeth smooth and clean.

How Often Should You Visit?
Most patients benefit from professional cleaning every 6 months. However, if you have a history of gum disease, smoke, have diabetes, or tend to build up tartar quickly, we may recommend visits every 3-4 months. Your hygienist will advise on the best schedule for you.
Maintaining Results at Home
Between visits, brush twice daily for two minutes with fluoride toothpaste, floss or use interdental brushes daily, and consider an antibacterial mouthwash. Good home care extends the benefits of your professional cleaning.
